About Us
The Invest in Minnesota Campaign unites Minnesota’s
faith communities, labor and nonprofit organizations. It was founded
by the American Federation
of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO),
the Joint Religious Legislative
Coalition(JRLC) and the Minnesota
Council of Nonprofits (MCN).
Invest in Minnesota builds on the past success
of two important precedents:
- Minnesota is Watching, a coalition of nonprofits,
organized labor and faith communities that began in 2003 as
a united effort to raise state revenues fairly in face of state
budget shortfalls.
- Growth
& Justice’s Invest in Minnesota campaign, a public and media
education effort to raise state revenues fairly to invest in
the state’s critical needs.
